Lacey police looking for black Monte Carlo after vehicle hits woman outside home

Lacey police are looking for a hit-and-run suspect after a woman was hit by a car outside her home.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. Lacey police are waiting to interview her, Sgt. Jaime Newcomb said Wednesday.

About 5 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Boone Street Southeast after a report of a disturbance. The residents of the home had a disagreement, leading them to ask a man in his 20s to leave.

He exited and got into a black Chevy Monte Carlo. He then drove recklessly in the area before he drove onto the lawn and hit the woman, Newcomb said.

Police believe the man intentionally hit her, Newcomb said. The driver then drove from the scene.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Lacey police at 360-459-4333 or South Sound Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
