Shelton man killed in hit-and-run crash

A 53-year-old Shelton man was killed Sunday night after he was hit by a van on U.S. 101 that drove off, according to the Washington State Patrol. He died at the scene.

The van was later located by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, but the driver is still at large.

About 8 p.m. Sunday, troopers say the van was headed south on U.S. 101 at milepost 342 when it struck the man walking in the same direction on the shoulder of the road.
