Woman hit by vehicle on Lilly Road has died
A 28-year-old woman who was hit by an SUV while crossing Lilly Road Thursday morning has died, a spokesman for Providence St. Peter Hospital said.
About 7:30 a.m., the woman, headed east, crossed Lilly Road at a crosswalk near Woodard Green Drive Northeast, according to Olympia police. The vehicle hit her in the northbound lane, Lt. Paul Lower said.
That resulted in the closure of Lilly Road for about four hours while police investigated. The 50-year-old male driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Lower said.
The incident is still under investigation, he said.
