What’s open and what’s closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Thurston County government offices will be closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. All offices will re-open for regular business on Tuesday.

Timberland Regional Libraries also will be closed.

But some sites and services will be open and operating.

The county’s Waste and Recovery Center in Lacey will be open on Monday. Gates open at 7 a.m. and close at 4:45 p.m.

Burfoot, Frye Cove, Kenneydell, and Deschutes Falls parks as well as the Off-Leash Dog Park on Hogum Bay Road will all be open during regular park hours.

Intercity Transit will provide full-service operations on the holiday, but neighboring transit agencies may have a different holiday schedule. Check with them before making a connecting trip on Monday. For more information, visit www.intercitytransit.com or call 360-786-1881.
