Shelton man flown to Harborview after Sunday crash on US 101
A two-car collision north of Shelton on US 101 sent a 79-year-old Shelton man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Sunday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The 28-year-old Sequim man in the other vehicle was not hurt.
About 2:15 p.m. Sunday, the Shelton man, approaching US 101 on Brockdale Road, stopped at a stop sign before entering the highway. Meanwhile, the Sequim man was headed north on US 101.
Troopers say the Shelton man then turned southbound onto US 101, but failed to yield to the oncoming driver.
After the collision, the 79-year-old man was taken to Mason General Hospital, then flown to Harborview.
