4 people taken to hospitals after crash that closed SR 507 near Yelm for 3 hours Sunday

Four people were taken to area hospitals Sunday night after a two-car crash closed state Route 507 in Thurston County for more than three hours, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 7:50 p.m. Sunday, a 19-year-old was headed east on Manke Road, near Yelm. Troopers say the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the other vehicle, which was headed south on SR 507.

The 19-year-old was injured and taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. There were four people in the other vehicle, including two children, ages 3 and 9, according to the State Patrol.

A 33-year-old and the two children were taken to area hospitals to be checked out, according to the State Patrol. A 19-year-old in the second car was not hurt.

SR 507 at Manke Road was closed for more than three hours.
