One man dies after two-car crash Friday evening in Mason County

A 25-year-old Union man died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and another man was injured after a two-car crash Friday evening in Mason County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 6:15 p.m. Friday, the Union man was headed west on state Route 108 near Kamilche. Troopers say he was driving “too fast for conditions” when he lost control of his vehicle in a curve and crossed into the eastbound lane.

He struck a vehicle that contained four Camano Island residents, including two children, ages 4 and 6. The driver of that vehicle, a 37-year-old man, was injured and taken to Mason General Hospital in Shelton, according to the State Patrol.

The two children and a 35-year-old woman were not injured.
