Police looking for 3 suspects in armed robbery at west Olympia apartment

Police are looking for three men who robbed people at gunpoint in a west Olympia apartment Sunday night.

The three men were last seen wearing black hoodies, black gloves and bandannas that covered their faces, Lt. Paul Lower said Tuesday.

About 9 p.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 500 block of Division Street Northwest after a report of a home invasion-style robbery.

The apartment was occupied by eight people, Lower said. They told police that the three men forced their way into the apartment, then demanded money at gunpoint. One of the suspects also threatened them with chemical spray, possibly pepper spray, he said.

After collecting wallets and a jar of coins, the three suspects fled from the apartment.

Two of the apartment residents suffered minor injuries, Lower said. One was punched in the face, the other was struck with the butt of the gun.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
