Why are so many trucks parked alongside Capitol Lake?
If you’re strolling around Capitol Lake, wondering why so many trucks are parked there, here’s the answer: they are here for an event called Timber Unity Washington, according to the state Department of Enterprise Services.
Enterprises Services, which manages Capitol Campus, including Capitol Lake, said the event will bring “noise, traffic and parking impacts.”
About 200 trucks and 400 people are expected to attend. The event lasts through 3 p.m. Monday.
