Olympia woman killed in southbound I-5 crash has been identified

Theresa N. Weeks was identified Monday afternoon as the woman who died in a crash over the weekend, according to the Thurston County Coroner’s Office.

Weeks died about 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Although official documents show that her last name was “Weeks,” she was recently divorced and was using her maiden name of “Toomey,” her younger sister, Emily Schubert, said Tuesday.

Washington State Patrol troopers say the 30-year-old woman was headed south on I-5 in Tumwater when she exited to the right near Trosper Road.

According to troopers, her vehicle then rolled and hit a tree. The southbound ramp to I-5 from Trosper Road was closed for more than an hour Sunday night.

The crash is under investigation.
