Somebody drove their pick-up truck into East Bay over the weekend

Anyone recognize this pick-up truck? Somebody drove it into East Bay over the weekend, according to Lacey and Olympia fire crews.

It wasn’t immediately clear when the truck was driven into the water, but it was discovered about 11 a.m. Saturday at the south end of the bay, between Marine Drive and East Bay Drive.

Lacey Fire Battalion Chief Ryan Fox said Monday that Lacey members of the Thurston County dive team were dispatched to the scene, but needed only to put on masks and snorkels to get to the vehicle, Fox said.

The driver was not at the scene.

Olympia Fire Assistant Chief Kevin Bossard said the vehicle was not leaking and did not leave a chemical sheen on the water.
