2 motorcyclists hurt after crash in Grays Harbor County

Two motorcyclists were hurt after they crashed in Grays Harbor County Saturday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A 28-year-old Tacoma man was injured and taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, and a 29-year-old Renton man, also hurt in the crash, was taken to Summit Pacific Hospital in Elma.

The two men were riding with a group of motorcyclists, all of whom were headed east near Oakville on U.S. Hwy. 12 about 3 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers say at milepost 31, the Tacoma man “overcorrected at a high-rate (of speed) and laid his motorcycle down.”

Meanwhile, the Renton man, trying not to crash into the Tacoma man, also “overcorrected at a high-rate (of speed),” according to the State Patrol.

Both men face charges of reckless driving, troopers say.
