Olympia hosts virtual town hall Wednesday on housing, homeless services
The Olympia City Council will host a virtual town hall meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday to address housing and homeless resources available during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The meeting is the third in a series focused on the resources available to residents during the coronavirus pandemic.
The town hall meeting will be led by the City Council’s General Government Committee. The moderated panel includes Keith Stahley, the city’s Interim Assistant City Manager; Keylee Marineau, Thurston County’s Homeless Prevention and Affordable Housing Coordinator; and Gabriel Ash, Catholic Community Services Program Manager.
Topics will cover:
- The city’s immediate homeless response and Homeless Response Plan.
- The status of the city’s housing efforts.
- Thurston County’s homeless response plan and how the county and city work together on it.
- The new role of Catholic Community Services at the City’s Mitigation Site and its work at the Community Kitchen.
- The expansion of the Familiar Faces Program.
