Fleeing driver strikes vehicle at I-5 Exit 109 in Lacey, trooper says

Another day, another pursuit for the Washington State Patrol.

About 11 a.m. Sunday, troopers tried to stop a vehicle for driving too fast, but the 2003 silver-colored Honda Accord drove off, Trooper Ryan Burke said.

The pursuit began in the Nisqually area of southbound I-5 and continued south, hitting speeds of 100 miles per hour, he said.

The car got off the freeway at exit 109, but struck another vehicle before driving away, Burke said.

No one was injured in the crash, he said.

Although the car wasn’t found, license information has traced the driver to a Puyallup address.

Anyone who sees the Honda with license plate number BQN4589 is asked to call 911.
