Rainier home destroyed by large fire Sunday

A home in Rainier was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon, according to Southeast Thurston Fire Authority.

About 1 p.m. Sunday, fire crews were dispatched to the 17000 block of Brasher Lane Southeast. Crews found the fire already well underway, Chief Mark King said.

No one was injured, but the residence is a complete loss, King said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, he said.

Three other fire departments responded to the blaze, including East Olympia Fire District 6.
