Job fair familiar to military community will host latest event online
An area recruiter is going online to help link people to new jobs amid a worldwide pandemic.
DAV and RecruitMilitary will host the Western Region Virtual Career Fair for Veterans & Military Community. The virtual career fair is scheduled 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. PST April 28 (Tuesday).
In 2019, DAV/RecruitMilitary hosted more than 140 veteran hiring events nationwide with attracting more than 28,000 military-trained job candidates, according to the announcement.
“In recent weeks, the company seamlessly shifted all in-person hiring events to a virtual setting to allow job seekers and employers the opportunity to connect in a safe way,” the announcement stated.
Those eligible to participate include those who have served in the U.S. military and their spouses and includes active duty, retired, separated, veterans, National Guard and Reserve.
Job candidates can interact with employers in large group, small group or one-on-one chats “and receive guidance and support from our team of event directors who will be hosting the event,” Kelly Wagner, public relations manager for Bradley-Morris, Inc. — RecruitMilitary, told The News Tribune via email.
