Olympia hosts town hall on rent relief, mortgage resources
“Rental/Housing/Mortgage Relief and Resources” is the title of the Olympia City Council’s virtual town hall meeting set for 4 p.m. Wednesday.
It will be hosted by the city council’s Land Use and Environment Committee. The moderated panel will include Cary Retlin, the city’s Home Fund manager; Jennifer Arnold, vice president and residential lending manager at Olympia Federal Savings; Kirsten York, director of Family Services for the Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason and Thurston counties; and Craig Chance, executive director of the Housing Authority of Thurston County.
Topics will include:
- Options for mortgage holders whose payments are impacted by COVID-19.
- Options for renters whose payments are impacted by COVID-19.
- Options for Housing Authority renters and tenants whose incomes have been impacted by COVID-19.
- What the city has been doing to support households whose incomes are impacted by the crisis.
