Man died when vehicle rolls over in Nisqually Thursday night, State Patrol says

A 30-year-old man died when his car rolled into a ditch adjacent to Reservation Road Southeast in Nisqually Thursday night, Washington State Patrol says. His was the only car involved in the crash.

About 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Nisqually Tribal Police were dispatched to the scene in the 2200 block of Reservation Road, State Trooper Ryan Burke told The Olympian. The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office also responded and requested State Patrol’s assistance, Burke said.

Law enforcement initially reported that the driver of the 1989 Volkswagen Cabriolet that had rolled off the road was unconscious, then pronounced him dead 10 minutes later, Burke said.

The man’s driver license and registration showed he was a resident of Bonney Lake. Law enforcement is not releasing the man’s name until it’s confirmed his next of kin has been notified.

Reservation Road was blocked for about an hour following the crash.
