As long as the weather cooperates, this freeway ramp in Lacey will close Monday
Work is set to continue on the diverging diamond interchange in Lacey, and that means another ramp closure with lane reductions, according to the state Department of Transportation.
“There’s a strong chance of this being a go,” spokesman Doug Adamson said about the work slated to being Monday, May 18. The project was postponed last week because of rain.
Starting Monday morning, the southbound on-ramp from Marvin Road to I-5 will be closed from 9 a.m. Monday through 3 p.m. Thursday. In addition, southbound Marvin Road will be reduced to one lane as the road approaches the overpass.
The weekday, around-the-clock ramp and lane closures will allow crews to rebuild the on-ramp, according to a news release.
The project is expected to be complete this winter.
