Have you seen this 13-year-old Lacey runaway?

UPDATE: Just before 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Lacey Police Sgt. Shannon Barnes told The Olympian Fox was found safe.

Lacey Police are looking for a 13-year-old boy who’s considered a runaway, and they want the public’s help locating him.

Malique J. Fox left the Horizon Pointe neighborhood Saturday to play basketball at Chambers Prairie Elementary, according to a Lacey Police Department flier, and doesn’t have a cell phone.

Running away was a violation of his probation, Sgt. Shannon Barnes told The Olympian, and a warrant has since been issued for Fox’s arrest. He sometimes hangs out at Rainier Vista Park, according to Barnes, and police have contacted all families he’s known to hang out with to let them know he ran away in hopes he’ll go home on his own.

The department’s flier describes Fox as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 130 pounds, and says he was last seen wearing a black hoodie and multi-colored Nike shoes.

Anyone with information on Fox’s whereabouts should call Lacey PD at 360-459-4333 or Crime Stoppers of South Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
