Thurston County ends week with 107 cases of COVID-19, a new weekly high
A week-old record for number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Thurston County has fallen again.
Thirteen more cases were announced on Sunday to give the county 107 in the week ending July 19, a new weekly high. The previous high was 80, which was reported the week ending July 12, according to Thurston County Public Health and Social Services.
Of the 13 new cases, four people are in their 60s. Everyone else is in their 40s, 30s and 20s, the data show.
The overall county total is now 485. Of the total cases, 303 people are recovering or have recovered, 43 have been hospitalized at some point in their illness, five have died and there have been two congregate care setting outbreaks at Olympics West Retirement Inn in Tumwater and Infinite Care Adult Family Home in Lacey, according to the county.
The county data show there is no longer an ongoing COVID-19 situation at either Olympics West or Infinite Care.

▪ Pierce County announced 97 more cases on Sunday to give the county 3,769 cases with 102 deaths.
▪ Lewis County had 131 cases and three deaths.
▪ Mason County had 79 cases and one death.
▪ Grays Harbor County had 61 cases and one death.

As of Monday, Washington state had more than 46,946 cases with 1,447 deaths, according to the state Department of Health.
The U.S. had reported 3.8 million cases and more than 140,800 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data. Globally, there had been 14.6 million cases and more than 608,000 deaths, as of Sunday.
