A driver went off the road and into a tree in west Olympia Monday morning, Olympia Fire Department reports.

At 7:34 a.m., Olympia Fire Department received a call about an SUV that had driven through the intersection of Cooper Point Road and Conger Avenue Southwest and down an embankment before hitting a tree, according to Assistant Fire Chief Mike Buchanan.

Medical aid was provided to the driver, who was sent to Providence St. Peter Hospital. The road was cleared by 8:08 a.m., Buchanan said.
