Olympia motorcyclist crashes into Prius after weaving in and out of traffic, troopers say

A 29-year-old Olympia man was injured Friday afternoon after he crashed his motorcycle into a Toyota Prius, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 4 p.m. Friday, the Olympia man was headed north on U.S. Hwy. 101 near Shelton Matlock Road. Troopers say the man was “traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic” when he crashed into a northbound Toyota Prius.

The 49-year-old Allyn woman driving the Prius was not hurt, according to the State Patrol.

The Olympia man was taken to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.

Troopers say he faces possible charges for driving under the influence and reckless driving.
