Mason County Coroner asks for public’s help identifying body found on beach
The Mason County Coroner wants the public’s help identifying a man whose body was found on a beach earlier this month.
The man’s fully clothed body was found Sept. 5 at Totten Shores near Southeast Somers Drive, on the north side of Totten Inlet, according to a press release Coroner Wesley Stockwell sent to local media outlets.
Reached by phone Monday, Stockwell told The Olympian his office does not suspect foul play. They have fingerprinted the man, he said, and didn’t get any results through the automated fingerprint identification system.
“We have zero information on this gentleman,” Stockwell said.
The unidentified man appears to be white and in his 40s or 50s, according to the press release, and he weighs at least 200 pounds and is 5 foot 5 inches tall.
The man also had two, distinct tattoos: One of a devil on his left shoulder, and another of flames on his right shoulder.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the coroner at 360-427-7752 or the Mason County Sheriff’s Office at 360-427-9670, extension 313.
