Thurston County COVID-19 cases rise by 10 to 1,107
New cases of COVID-19 rose by 10 on Wednesday to 1,107, according to Thurston County Public Health and Social Services.
The new cases were a woman in her 70s, two women and a man in their 50s, a man in his 40s, a woman in her 30s, a man and woman in their 20s and a male and female between the ages of 10-19, the data show.
Of the overall total, 907 people have recovered or are recovering, 79 have been hospitalized at some point during their illness and 15 have died. Four people have been hospitalized the past week, the data show.
The number of COVID-19 facility outbreaks also has fallen to three from five. An assisted living facility and two adult family homes are still experiencing an outbreak, county spokeswoman Magen Johnson said Wednesday.

▪ Pierce County on Wednesday announced 34 cases, giving the county a total of 7,261. Deaths were unchanged at 162.
▪ Lewis County reported three more cases for a total of 448 and four deaths.
▪ Mason County reported five more cases for a total of 384 cases and three deaths.
▪ Grays Harbor County announced 17 more cases Tuesday night to give the county 391 with six deaths.
AROUND THE STATE, NATION AND WORLD
The state Department of Health on Wednesday reported 347 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and five deaths, giving the state 80,812 cases and 2,020 deaths.
In the U.S., 6.6 million people have contracted the virus and 196,000 have died as a result, according to Johns Hopkins University data. Globally, 29.7 million people have been been afflicted and 938,000 have died, the data show.
