Your Monday morning commute in northeast Lacey could be delayed

If you live in northeast Lacey, and your commute includes the roundabout at Hawks Prairie Road and Marvin Road, be prepared for delays Monday morning.

That’s because construction begins at 7 a.m. Monday to add more lanes to the roundabout, according to the city. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Motorists also can expect up to 15-minute traffic delays on the east side of the roundabout while contractors apply crack sealant on Hawks Prairie Road.

Alternate routes are advised.
