Pedestrian hit by vehicle on I-5 in Olympia

A 55-year-old Lacey woman was killed while walking on Interstate 5 in Olympia early Thursday morning, according to a press release from the Washington State Patrol.

The woman was struck by a car traveling south around 12:50 a.m., the release says. The crash occurred at milepost 105, south of downtown Olympia.

The road was blocked for two hours afterwards.
