The Thurston County Auditor’s election division has mailed out more than 187,000 ballots for the upcoming general election, according to a news release.

The auditor’s office also opened 29 secure ballot drop boxes throughout the county, and a list of locations can be found here.

There are several races in this year’s general election, and a list of candidates can be found on Thurston County’s Auditor’s website.

Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 2 in order to be counted. Voters are advised to check mailboxes for pickup times to ensure their ballots are postmarked correctly and picked up in time. Stamps are not needed, and drop boxes are open until 8 p.m. on election day.

Any registered voter who didn’t receive a ballot by Oct. 20 should contact the Auditor’s Office at 360-786-5408 or at elections@co.thurston.wa.us.

Residents can register to vote, get a replacement ballot and vote using an accessibility voting device at the voting center, located at 2400 Evergreen Park Drive. Accessibility voting is also available at the Lacey Timberland Library and at The Evergreen State College. Times vary by location.
