Bomb threat at state office building closes roads around Quince Street in Olympia
A bomb threat at a state office building prompted Olympia police to clear the area around Quince Street Southeast Monday morning.
Police closed several roads near Union Avenue and Quince Street, according to an Olympia Police Department tweet. However, Eastside Street and Union Avenue were open by around 9 a.m., per a subsequent tweet.
Washington State Patrol investigated while OPD helped close roadways, Lt. Paul Lower said. A WSP bomb squad later cleared the scene, allowing OPD to reopen roadways, according to a 10:25 a.m. tweet.
The Olympian has reached out to WSP for more information.
