The Lewis County Coroner is asking the public to help identify the remains of two men found earlier this year.

“DNA on both have been sent to the Washington State Patrol crime lab but those results are expected to take months and will only yield results if the two persons have DNA in the system,” Coroner Warren McLeod said in an email.

Human remains were found in March in Winlock and in May in Centralia. Preliminary reports suggest both are men.

According to the Coroner’s Office:

On March 2, remains were discovered in Winlock, and the coroner says they are possibly that of a white or Hispanic man, 18-35 years old, between 5-foot-7 and 6-foot-2.

On May 17, remains were found in Centralia, and are believed to be a white man, 40-70 years old and between 5-foot-5 and 6-feet tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call the coroner at 360-740-3367.
