Thurston County coroner identifies woman who died after three-vehicle wreck Monday
A Rochester woman who died at the hospital after a three-vehicle wreck in south Thurston County has been identified.
Stacey Moore, 42, died at Providence St. Peter Hospital on Monday, Coroner Gary Warnock told The Olympian. He described her official cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle collision.
The collision occurred at about 6:43 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and Huntington Street near Rochester, according to a State Patrol memo.
Moore tried to turn left onto southbound Huntington Street when a 16-year-old female driver hit her car, spinning Moore’s vehicle into the oncoming lane where it struck a Rochester driver.
The 16-year-old did not get hurt, nor did the other Rochester driver, 35, and his passenger, 34, per the memo.
The memo did not list the cause of the collision. The Olympian has reached out to State Patrol for more information.
Following the incident, the roadway remained partially blocked for one hour and 40 minutes.
