Lacey teen injured in Mason County off-road vehicle rollover, State Patrol says

A Lacey teenager was injured Saturday afternoon when the off-road vehicle she was riding in rolled onto its side, according to Washington State Patrol.

The 21-year-old male driver from Gig Harbor and a second passenger — a male teenager, 17 — were not injured in the wreck.

About 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the three were headed west on state Route 300 south of Belfair in Mason County. Troopers say the driver attempted a U-turn in a gravel pullout, but when re-entering the road the vehicle struck the edge of it and rolled onto its passenger side, blocking both lanes.

The injured Lacey teen was taken to St. Michael Medical Center in Bremerton, according to State Patrol.

The State Patrol identified the vehicle as a Polaris RZR.
