Centralia police arrest man on suspicion of first-degree murder

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, Centralia police announced Sunday.

About 8:20 a.m. Sunday, police were dispatched after a report of a person being found unconscious at a home in the 800 block of South Gold Street.

Police found the person dead with gunshot wounds. The 28-year-old suspect was interviewed at the residence and later booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.

The victim will be identified by the Lewis County Coroner’s Office, according to police.
