Thousands without power in Tumwater on Monday morning

A power outage was reported on Puget Sound Energy’s website just before 4 a.m. Monday, affecting more than 2,000 people in Tumwater.

According to PSE’s outage map, the outage was caused by trees and vegetation. But a representative with PSE said it was actually caused by an equipment failure.

The estimated restoration time was 8 a.m. Monday, according to the outage map.
