UPDATED: Delays, closures for Tuesday, Jan. 4 due to icy conditions

Some South Sound school districts and other organizations have announced delays and closures for Tuesday, Jan. 4, because of icy weather conditions.

Aberdeen SD: Closed, no preschool. Icy roads unsafe for morning transportation. Significant tidal flooding expected in afternoon.

Adna SD: 3 Hours Late

Centralia SD: AM/PM Buses on snow routes

Clover Park SD: PM ECEAP and Special Needs preschool programs on JBLM are canceled for this afternoon.

Cosmopolis SD: Closed

Elma SD: Closed.

Evergreen Christian School: Closed. No activity bus runs. Preschool through eighth grade, due to snow and ice.

Evergreen State College: Opening at 11 am.

Grapeview SD: Closed. Due to hazardous driving conditions.

Grays Harbor College: 2 Hours Late

Griffin SD: 2 Hours Late, AM buses on snow routes. No before school activities or childcare; breakfast and lunch will be served

Hood Canal SD: Closed, No preschool

Hoquiam SD: Closed

Mary M. Knight SD: Closed, no out-of-district transportation. All classes are canceled due to poor road conditions.

McCleary SD: Closed.

Montesano SD: Closed.

North Mason SD: Closed. Road conditions in many parts of the community remain hazardous.

North Thurston PS: Closed.

NWSOIL: Tumwater Campus closed

Oakville SD: Schools closed, district offices open

Olympia SD: Closed. After-school and evening activities canceled.

Pioneer SD: Closed

Pope John Paul II HS: Closed

Rochester SD: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool, AM Buses on snow routes, no out-of-district transportation

St. Michael Olympia: Closed

Satsop SD: Closed

Shelton SD: Closed

Skokomish Tribe: Closed

South Sound YMCA-Child Care Services: All programs closed today

Rainier SD: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool, AM Buses on snow routes, no out-of-district transportation.

Rochester SD: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool, AM Buses on snow routes, no out-of-district transportation.

Tenino SD: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool, AM/PM Buses on snow routes

Tumwater SD: Schools closed, district offices open. At noon the district will announce decision regarding after school activities/athletics.

White River SD: Closed, No AM preschool, AM/PM Buses on snow routes. Due to late developing icy road conditions, school closed.

Willapa Valley SD: Closed

Yelm Community Schools: Closed
