UPDATED: Delays, closures, early releases for Thursday, Jan. 6 due to icy conditions
Some South Sound school districts and other organizations have announced delays and closures for Thursday, Jan. 6, because of icy roads.
Aberdeen SD: Early release, all aft/eve activities canceled, No preschool. Emergency closure of A.J. West and Harbor Learning Center due to rising flood levels. All other schools proceed with 2-hr late start AND 1-hr early release, No AM/PM preschool, Significant AM flooding, Likely PM tidal flooding, athletics & after school activities canceled
Adna SD: Early release, all aft/eve activities canceled. Classes will release at noon
Boistfort SD: Due to water over roads, Boistfort School will release at 1 pm Thursday
Centralia College: Early Learning Programs (preschool and campus childcare) will close at 1 pm
Centralia SD: Early release, all aft/eve activities canceled. 2 hour early release today for all schools due to flooding, schools will be closed on Friday 1/7/22
Chehalis SD: Early release, all aft/eve activities canceled. All Chehalis schools are releasing 2 hours early due to flooding conditions
Evaline SD: 2 hour early release due to flooding conditions
Grapeview SD: 2 Hours Late, AM/PM Buses on snow routes
Hood Canal SD: 2 Hours Lake. No preschool. AM/PM buses on snow routes.
Hoquiam SD: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool. 2 Hour Late Start. No AM Pre School.
Mary M. Knight SD: 2 Hours Late, AM/PM Buses on snow routes
North Mason SD: 2 Hours late. AM/PM Buses on snow routes due to road conditions.
Rochester SD: Early release, all aft/eve activities canceled. 2 hour early release due to flooding
South Bend SD: 2 Hours Late, No AM preschool. 2hr late start because of flooding in the area.
South Sound YMCA-Child Care Services: Littlerock closed today and tomorrow due to flooding in the area. Staff are not able to get to the school.
Toledo SD: Closed
Tumwater SD: Buses on road restriction routes. Schools are on normal schedule. Snow routes for the following route numbers: 134, 201, 202, 241, 242, 252, 253, 255
