Yelm man who died in single-vehicle crash has been identified
A Yelm man who died in a single-vehicle wreck Friday morning in south Pierce County has been identified, according to Washington State Patrol.
About 2:30 a.m., Gregory W. Hicks, 32, was south of Spanaway and headed south on state Route 507 near Eighth Avenue South when troopers say he drove off the road and struck a power pole, which fell across the road.
The road was blocked for more than four hours, according to State Patrol.
