3 teenagers injured in Thursday night crash on I-5 near Nisqually

Three Centralia teenagers were transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia after crashing on I-5 near Nisqually on Thursday evening.

According to the Washington State Patrol, three males and one female ranging in age from 15 to 18 were traveling north on the right shoulder of I-5 east of milepost 114 at about 5:20 p.m. The driver crossed all lanes, left the roadway and came to rest on the left shoulder.

The three males were transported to the hospital for their injuries, but the female was uninjured. The driver, 18, is suspected of DUI and vehicular assault, according to WSP.

The incident left the roadway blocked for almost eight hours.
