A Thurston County resident was among the injured Friday morning when a semi-trailer triggered a multiple-vehicle wreck on I-5, according to Washington State Patrol.

The 73-year-old Lacey man was injured and taken to Tacoma General Hospital. A total of four people were injured and one person died at the scene, a 54-year-old man later identified as Dung T. Nguyen of Lakewood.

In addition to the Lacey man, a Tacoma woman, 28, a Troutdale, Oregon woman, 44, and a Eugene, Oregon woman, 22, also were injured.
