Update: The city announced Monday morning that a planned closure on Franklin Street, between A Avenue Northeast and Market Street Northeast, has been canceled.

A section of Franklin Street will close this week, according to the city of Olympia.

The street will close between A Avenue Northeast and Market Street Northeast on Tuesday and Thursday to accommodate a crane that will be working in the area.

The closure both days is from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the city.

Not only will that section of Franklin Street close twice this week, the city warns that the area is set to close over multiple days in the coming months.

The crane will operate on an adjacent parcel owned by the LOTT Clean Water Alliance, the area’s sewage treatment plant.
