Winter weather advisory says Olympia area could get 1-3 inches of snow

The calendar says April, but Old Man Winter isn’t done with us just yet, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.

The NWS issued a winter weather advisory Sunday afternoon that says 1-3 inches of wet snow could fall in the Thurston County lowlands overnight Monday.

The advisory takes effect at midnight Monday and runs through 11 a.m., according to NWS.

The NWS reminds commuters to slow down and use caution while traveling.

The rest of the week doesn’t look so good either.

Overnight lows will be in the 30s through Wednesday night. During the day there’s either a chance of rain as well as another chance of snow early Wednesday.

Daytime highs through Thursday will be in the upper 40s.
