I-5 rest stops in Thurston County will close briefly for maintenance in coming weeks
Two I-5 rest areas will close temporarily at the beginning of May for routine maintenance, according to a news release from the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The Maytown Safety Rest Area on southbound I-5 will close from 11 p.m. May 2 to 5 p.m. May 5.
The Scatter Creek Safety Rest Area on northbound I-5 will close from 11 p.m. May 9 to 5 p.m. May 12.
The department does yearly maintenance on rest areas, according to the release. Real-time traffic information can be found on WSDOT’s Twitter feed, or through the department’s app.
