Early morning fire destroys food mart in west Olympia

Fire destroyed a Texaco Food Mart near the busy intersection of Black Lake Boulevard Southwest and Cooper Point Road early this morning.

Olympia Fire Department tweeted that adjacent buildings and businesses were dealt minor damage. The businesses also were left without power.

According to a tweet from OFD from 1:22 a.m., crews arrived to find the Texaco Food Mart engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported. There was no one in the building at the time of the fire.

Fire officials will be remaining at the scene to investigate the cause.
