Juvenile driver is OK after crashing car at more than 100 mph, Thurston deputies say

A juvenile driver and passenger walked away from a wreck without serious injury after driving the car at more than 100 miles per hour, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the crash in the 5100 block of Shincke Road Northeast at 3:20 p.m. Saturday. Deputies say the the juvenile had been driving “in excess of 100 mph” when the vehicle left the road and traveled more than 930 feet before it came to a stop.

The juvenile driver faces a reckless driving charge.
