2022 Mother Daughter Tea Party: Children and parents can head over to the 2022 Mother Daughter Tea Party at the Lacey Community Center, 6729 Pacific Ave SE. It begins at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
All School Spring Showcase 2022: Students of Studio West Dance Academy will perform at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St SE, at 1 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $7 to $9 and there are student, senior and youth discounts available. The price does not include the $4 ticket service fee.
June 7
Lakewood Farmers Market: The Lakewood Farmers Market has fresh produce and carnival classics. The new season begins from 2-7 p.m. June 7 at Fort Steilacoom Park, 8714 87th Ave SW, Lakewood.
June 9
A “PRIDE” Free Range Drag (& Variety) Show: June is Pride Month and Free Range will begin the month with a Pride show. Admission is $15. Masks and proof of vaccination are encouraged. The event will be at the Cryptatropa Bar, 421 Fourth Ave E, Olympia.
The Temptations: The Temptations, which includes founding member Otis Williams and singers Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Willie Greene Jr. and Larry Braggs, started in Detroit in the 1960s. Their music paved the way for the evolution of R&B and soul music. They will perform at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St SE, at 7:30 p.m. Call 360- 753-8586 for more information. Tickets range from $39 to $99.
June 10
Sip and Paint: This painting class will be taught step-by-step by an instructor from 4-6 p.m. A drink of your choice and all supplies necessary are included for the $45 event. Swap Meet Motorcycle and Car Show: There will be a Motorcycle and Car Show at Magic’s Custom Cycle, 317 Warren St S, Roy, starting at 9 a.m.
InGenius! Summer Arts Market: The InGenius! Summer Arts Market features live music and art booths. The market will happen every Saturday from May 28 through Labor Day weekend at 207 First St. S., Yelm, and it will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Goat Yoga: This will be a 60-minute session of yoga with baby goats at Stone City Farm, 13941 Old Highway 99 SE, Tenino. Yoga mats will be provided. Participants are encouraged to spend time with the goats after the class. The class begins at 10 a.m.
Wetland Explorers: Children will be able to learn about wetlands through art projects and a scavenger hunt at the WET Science Center, 500 Adams St NE, Olympia. The event begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 3:30 p.m. There is no fee.
Ocean Fest Beach Cleanup: Trash pickup at Chambers Bay Park. Buckets and gloves will be provided. Participants are also able to make art out of the collected trash. The park is at 4800-4850 Grandview Drive W, University Place, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Celebration of Franklin Street Construction: End of Construction Celebration will be held at Franklin and Fourth Avenue in downtown Olympia from 1-3 p.m. The Olympia Downtown Alliance, partnered with the city of Olympia, plans to have face painting, jugglers and other entertainers. Project managers from the construction will be at the event to answer questions about the construction process.
Soap making class: Participants will be able to make goat milk soap to take home. Participants must be 16 years or older in order to take the class at Stone City Farm, 13941 Old Highway 99 SE, Tenino from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
