Thousands of Thurston County students eat free and reduced-price school lunches during the school year. But when school lets out, the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction wants families to know how to continue to get free meals through the annual Summer Food Service Program.

Unlike the school lunch program, the Summer Food Service Program can be used by anyone 18 years old or younger. OSPI noted that the program is funded federally and by statewide nonprofits, schools, and Tribes.
