Thurston County residents are invited to a town hall meeting being held in Lacey Thursday evening, and they will have a chance to ask their elected representatives whatever questions are on their minds.

According to a press release from the office of U.S. Rep. Marilyn Strickland, the Democrat who represents part of Thurston County will be hosting the town hall at 6:30 p.m. June 30 alongside Thurston County Commission Chairwoman Carolina Mejia. It will be moderated by state Rep. Jessica Bateman, D-Olympia.

The public event will be at the Lacey Community Center at 6729 Pacific Ave. SE.

“The Congresswoman and I spoke about this opportunity a few months ago and I am grateful to all the county and congressional staff who helped make this happen,” Mejia said. “We are hoping to get feedback on how residents feel government is working for them.”
