Music in the Park: The Olympia Downtown Alliance’s outdoor concert series moves back to Sylvester Park, 615 Washington St SE, Olympia, for this week’s concert by Seattle singer-songwriter Ian McFeron. Downtown Sea Stroll: The Puget Sound Estuarium will host its Downtown Sea Stroll from 1-3 p.m. The Sea Stroll is about 1.5 miles long and will include free admission to the Estuarium. During the stroll, participants will learn about Olympia’s shoreline. The event will start at the Estuarium, 309 State Ave. NE, Olympia. Admission is $15 for adults. Kids under 12 are free. Scherler Sundays: Enjoy live music outdoors at Three Magnets Brewing Co., 620 Franklin St. SE, Olympia. Performers will be Jack Habegger’s Celebrity Telethon and Lavender Country. Free and open to all ages.

Marine Creature Monday: Head up to Boston Harbor Marina, 312 73rd Ave. NE, for this marine event. Families and children can learn more about the Puget Sound from marine specialists and diver Kevin Seslar. Those 10 and under must wear a life vest. Only one registration is required per family, but if more than one person is attending, you must register as a group. Lacey in Tune children’s entertainment: This series will bring free, live events weekly at 6:30 p.m. through Aug. 9 at Huntamer Park, 618 Woodland Square Loop SE. Louie Foxx’s One-Man Side Show, which appeared on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, is this week’s entertainment, offering magic and comedy. Into the Woods: Apple Tree Productions presents the Stephen Sondheim musical “Into the Woods” at 7 p.m. at the South Bay Grange, 3918 Sleater Kinney Road NE. There also will be performances at 2 and 7 p.m. July 15. Tickets are $10 at the door and online.
Secretary of State Candidate Forum: Voters are invited to a forum for candidates running for Secretary of State in Washington. The forum is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Washington Education Fund and The Spokesman-Review. The event will be at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. The forum will also be streamed and available for later viewing on the LWVWA website. The Eric Gales Band: Blues rock guitarist Eric Gales will perform at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. SE, Olympia at 8 p.m. General admission is $35 and tickets are $40 day of show. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Saturday, July 16
Lakefair Grand Parade: The parade starts at 5 p.m. and travels from Capitol Way at 24th Avenue to downtown Olympia. Find more information at www.lakefair.org.
Trash to Treasure: At the WET Science Center, 500 Adams St. NE, kids can take recycled materials and use them to build something new. This event will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Register online.
South Sound Artisan Guild Market: This market will be at Capital Mall, 625 Black Lake Blvd. SW, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The market will be in the courtyard near the food court, and will feature painters, authors and craftsmen. Find more information online.
Book Launch Event: The authors of the Thurston County history book Water, Woods, & Prairies will be at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St NW, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. The book was published in 2019 by the Thurston County Historic Commission and includes the efforts of 17 local history authors.
Playground Project: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., volunteers can put the finishing touches on the playground project at 3545 Seventh Ave. SW, Olympia. Activities include finishing the slide mounds, cutting seats and tables and filling the gaps under fences. Volunteers should bring safety equipment, drills, yard tools and chainsaws.

Music in the Park: Wrng Haus will perform at the weekly free outdoor concert series at 1 p.m. at Sylvester Park, 615 Washington St. SE, in downtown Olympia. Wrng Haus is a Portland pop/rock band with a horn section.
Painting Class: This painting class will be at The Shiplap Shop & Coffee House, 112 E. Yelm Ave., Yelm. At 2 p.m., painters will be able to paint a hummingbird through step-by-step instructions. Tickets are $40. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $40.
