Sunday, July 17
Music in the Park: Wrng Haus will perform at the weekly free outdoor concert series at 1 p.m. at Sylvester Park, 615 Washington St. SE, in downtown Olympia. Wrng Haus is a Portland pop/rock band with a horn section.
Capitol Lakefair fireworks: The fireworks will begin over Capitol Lake at 10:15 p.m. at Heritage Park to end the five-day-long Lakefair celebration. Admission is free.
Monday, July 18
Yoga with Elizabeth: Participants can practice yoga for $15 from 10-11 a.m. with local yoga instructor Elizabeth Swanson at The Sanctuary, 1522 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. This lesson will focus on stability and mobility. Yoga experience is recommended for this lesson. Proof of vaccination and mask wearing is required. For more information, go here.
Marine Creature Monday: This event will be at the Boston Harbor Marina, 312 73rd Ave NE, Olympia. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., families will be able to learn about marine life in the Puget Sound. Intercity Transit’s Earn-A-Bike Class: Those ages 11 to 15 can learn bike safety tips and earn their own bike in this bike class put on by Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation. The class will be from Tuesday, July 19, 2022 to Friday, July 22, 2022. The class is $5 and is from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. each day at 222 Columbia St NW, Olympia. Register here.

Cascadia album release: The jazz artists known as the Dmitri Matheny Group will have an album release celebration at 9-10 p.m. at Traditions Fair Trade, 300 Fifth Ave. SW, Olympia. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown: The Tenino Young-At-Heart Theatre will put on the 1967 musical You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown from Thursday, July 21, to Saturday, July 30. Thursday and Friday performances will be at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday performances will be at 2 p.m. Tickets are $13 for students and seniors and $15 for general admission. Movie Screening - Buffalo Soldiers, Fighting on Two Fronts: The City Olympia will screen a documentary at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave SE, Olympia, called Buffalo Soldiers, Fighting on Two Fronts. It is about the all-Black military regiments created after the Army Reorganization Act of 1866. The screening is at 7 p.m. and admission is free, but donations will go to the Women of Color in Leadership Movement. A Q&A with director Dru Holley will follow the one-hour film. Tenino Oregon Trail Days: This event is free and allows participants to learn about local history while also enjoying a parade, a rock and gem show, and vendors. The event will be from Friday, July 22 to Sunday, July 24 at Tenino City Park, Park Ave. E., Tenino. Call (360) 878-3835 for more details.
Saturday, July 23
Crimescene Investigator by Clued Upp Games: Those wanting to do sleuthing and mystery-solving will be able to attend this outdoor murder mystery from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $80 for each team. Teams must have a minimum of two players and a maximum of six. Learn more about the event here.
Nisqually Barbecue Rally: From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., visitors can enjoy barbecue, live music and fun activities for kids. Vendors will also be present at the rally and provide opportunities to learn more about local businesses. This event will be at 115 Mosman Ave SE, Yelm. Shark Dissection at the Estuarium: During the Summer Shark Spree at the Puget Sound Estuarium, 309 State Ave. NE, Olympia, interpreters will perform a dissection of a shark at 2:30 p.m. Visitors will be able to learn about the sharks of the Puget Sound and the anatomy of sharks. Admission is $8 for families, $5 for individuals and $3 for those under 18.
Bands @ the Barn: This event is at the Schilter Family Farm, 141 Nisqually Cutoff Road SE. The event will be from 5:30-9:30 p.m. with live music starting at 7 p.m. from Kaitie Wade. Kids activities will be available. Tickets are $15. Register here.
Summer Nights at the Port: This event is recurring and will be on Saturdays July 23, July 30 and Aug. 13. There will be live music, free viewings of movies, food trucks and more. Music in the Park: The Hook Me Up quartet will perform at the weekly free outdoor concert series at 1 p.m. at Sylvester Park, 615 Washington St. SE, in downtown Olympia.
Totally Tubular Tie Dye Mumby Extravaganza: This event will be at Headless Mumby Brewing, 232 Division St. NW, Olympia. Participants will be able to enjoy a beverage of their choosing and tie dye from 1-4 p.m. with all materials provided. Children are welcome and can enjoy non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets range from $20 to $30. Register here.
