2 motorcyclists injured Tuesday in separate collisions on Martin Way
Two separate collisions involving motorcycles on Martin Way Tuesday left both motorcyclists injured.
One collision occurred in Lacey on Martin Way near I-5 at around 9:20 a.m. while the other happened in Olympia near the 2800 block of Martin Way at 11:20 p.m.
Lacey Police Sgt. Shannon Barnes said the first collision left the motorcyclist with multiple broken bones and a head injury. That crash was in the 4700 block of Martin Way, east of College Street. The motorcyclist was initially transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia before being taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The second collision was Tuesday night near Aztec Lanes, and blocked eastbound Martin Way, according to Olympia police.
Lt. Paul Lower said the motorcyclist was reported to have suffered a fractured leg and was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital.
